Real Madrid defeats Liverpool 3-1 to Win The Champions League Three Consecutive Times

Real Madrid is once again kings of the Champions League. On Saturday night,  Real Madrid beats Liverpool 3-1  to retain the trophy for the third consecutive year.

A very costly mistake form Liverpool; goalkeeper Loris Karius allowed Karim Benzema to score the first goal early in the second half but Liverpool, who lost PFA Player of the Year Mohamed Salah to a shoulder injury in the first half, responded when Sadio Mane also scored an equalizer  from a close range.

Then Gareth Bale produced a baffling bicycle kick goal and a stunning shot from way outside the penalty box coupled with  another gaffe from the Liverpool goalkeeper which  ensured a third straight Champions League crown for Real Madrid.

This  is the second time Madrid has won three European Cups in a row, having gone on to win five in succession from 1956, and only the fourth time it has happened in 63 years.

Real hasn’t lost a Champions League final since 1981, and they become the first team to win thrice in a row since Bayern Munich in the mid-70s.
